Delivering Heating and Cooling Services to Clinton and East Feliciana Parish
It is late July near the courthouse square, the humidity is sitting heavy after an afternoon thunderstorm, and the AC in your Clinton home has quietly stopped pushing cold air. The house heats up fast. And with a long, hot summer stretching ahead, waiting is not an option.
That is where we come in. Shield Heating and Cooling is a family-run HVAC company in Clinton, LA, and the wider East Feliciana Parish area, and you can reach us at (225) 396-4590. Owner Ronnie George works alongside his two sons, bringing generations of experience to every job. For more than 30 years, we have kept homes comfortable across the Greater Baton Rouge region, and Clinton is right in our service area.
Heat Pumps for Clinton Homes
Clinton sits in a hot, humid subtropical climate with long summers and mild winters, which makes it a natural fit for heat pump systems. A heat pump handles both cooling and heating from one unit, cooling your home through the brutal summer months and warming it through the occasional freeze that rolls through in winter. Because our winters here are generally mild, a heat pump often does the job without a separate furnace running much at all.
The reality is that a properly sized heat pump can lower your energy costs while keeping you comfortable year round. We install, repair, and maintain heat pumps, and we can walk you through whether one makes sense for your home. We offer free estimates on installations and replacements, so there is no cost to find out.

When the frequent summer thunderstorms and thick humidity settle over town, your air conditioner is working hard.
We keep it running with a full range of cooling services:
Ductless mini-splits are worth a look if you have added a room or have spaces that never seem to cool evenly. And regular maintenance goes a long way toward avoiding a breakdown on the hottest day of the year.

Indoor Air Quality
The catch is that comfort is not only about temperature. With Clinton’s humidity running high through much of the year, controlling moisture and air quality inside your home matters just as much.
We handle:
A whole-home dehumidifier can make a real difference during those muggy stretches, and a modern thermostat gives you tighter control over both comfort and cost.
